Biographical Sketch

Daniel Calvete earned his degree in Physics in 1995 at the Universitat de Barcelona and wrote his doctoral thesis on "Morphological stability models: shoreface-connected sand Ridges" in the Departament de Fisica Aplicada of the UPC (1999). He carried out a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research (IMAU) of Utrecht University (1999-2002) . In 2001, he returned to the Departament de Fisica Aplicada as a researcher and between 2003 and 2008 he enjoyed a contract research into the program "Ramon y Cajal" of the Ministry of Education and Science. Since 2008, he is Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering (UPC).
